GenRoom is an AI interior, exterior and garden designer. Upload a photo of your room, house or yard, a floor plan, or simply describe the space, choose a style or a ready-made mode, and get a realistic design in about a minute. Any result can then be changed with words or a brush in the editor.
No. A regular phone photo works. For the best result, take it in daylight from a corner of the room, hold the phone level and keep as much of the space in the frame as possible. Avoid blurry or very dark shots.
Living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, kids' rooms, home offices and other rooms, house facades, yards and gardens, as well as offices, cafés and other commercial spaces. With a floor plan you can design a whole apartment room by room.
Yes. The site and the Studio are available in 21 languages, and you can describe what you want in your own language.
Credits and payment
Actions in the Studio are paid with credits. A design costs 2 credits, an edit 2 credits, a top view of a floor plan 2 credits and each room from a floor plan 2 credits. 4K upscaling costs no credits on plans that include it.
Yes. You get 6 free credits when you sign up, no card required. Results made with free credits carry a small genroom.io mark; it disappears from new and existing designs after you buy any plan.
Purchased credits are valid for 180 days from the payment date.
No. Every plan is a one-time payment with no automatic renewal. After buying a plan you can top up credits at any time without changing plans.
Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments go through a secure payment gateway; we never see or store your card details.
If a generation breaks off or returns an error, the credits return to your balance automatically. Refunds of payments are possible for duplicate or erroneous charges and if the service is unavailable for 24 hours in a row — see our Refund Policy for details.
Designs and editing
Yes. In the design form, click the picture icon in “Your brief” and choose “Add as a reference”. On paid plans you can add up to 5 photos per design — furniture, a tile or a finish sample, a picture you like — and refer to them in your wishes, for example “put the sofa from photo 2”. Free accounts can add one reference photo.
Open the result in the editor, tap “Select area”, mark the part with the brush or lasso and describe the change, for example “replace the sofa with a green velvet one”. Everything outside the selection stays as it was.
Create another variant, try a different style or mode, or refine the result in the editor with words or a brush. Each new variant or edit is a new version — earlier versions are kept, so you can always go back.
Designs are created in high resolution and can be downloaded right from the result. On plans that include it, you can also upscale any result to 4K for free.
Floor plans
Upload a floor plan — a scan, a screenshot or a photo of a 2D plan. GenRoom recognises the rooms, can place furniture on the plan, and creates a top-view design of the whole apartment in the style you choose. Then you check the frame of each room and get an eye-level design of every room in the same style.
A clear 2D plan with visible walls, doors and windows and room names. A photo of a printed plan also works if it is sharp and taken straight on. 3D renders and photos of rooms are not floor plans — use “Design from a photo” for them.
Privacy and rights
You do. Images generated in GenRoom belong to you and can be used for any purpose, including commercial projects, listings and client presentations.
Some results may appear in the public gallery. Turn on “Private generation” — available on plans that include it — to keep your designs out of the gallery.
Designs of accounts that have bought a plan are kept for as long as the account exists. If you have never bought a plan, design images older than 30 days may be deleted from our servers — download the ones you want to keep.
Open your profile and choose “Delete account”. Your profile, designs, history and remaining credits are erased permanently and cannot be restored.
